Brian and Gloria,

Thanks for you kind comments. Yes, we got the Green Jay photo at Laguna Atascosa (thanks to your recommendation). We got the Pauraque at Llano Grande. We didn’t find it ourselves, a fellow who regularly gives bird tours there gave us a short private walk and pointed it out to us. We found the Ruby-crowned Kinglet on South Padre Island. It wasn't at the main wetland area - it was down a side road. There were a few flying around some bushes. One was nice enough to show us his ruby crown.

Hi Clint and Naomi, Excellent photo's of your trip in Brownsville and surrounding areas. You deffinately got a good shot of the Green Jay eventually, much better than the ones we were seeing at the university. That was an amazing shot of the Pauraque, where did you spot that one ? also the Ruby crowned kinglet ? Brian was impressed with that one.! He also thought you had got very good shots of the parakeet and parrots, we only managed to see them in the evening around dusk so didn't get brilliant clear shots of them all.
Looking forward to seeing many more of your photo's in the near future.!!

Great photos. The first photo marked "Kiskadee" is actually a Couch's Kingbird, though the second photo truly is of a kiskadee.
