Lapland Longspurs and Horned Larks

Thanks to the posts about the sightings of Lapland Longspurs on Bunker Hill Road in Valley Falls, Naomi and I made a quick trip up there this afternoon. We found the spot because there were two other birders there with their scopes. We were treated to a view of a Lapland Longspur through one of the scopes (thanks). I continued walking about the area with my camera and managed to get a few decent shots of some Lapland Longspurs along with some of the numerous Horned Larks in the field. Although I was not very close, even the highly cropped photos show fairly good detail.

A capture of three LAPLAND LONGSPURS together with some HORNED LARKS. The first Lapland Longspur is on the far left, the second is lower left center (just below and to the left of the central Horned Lark), and the third is on the far right.
