A Vischer’s Ferry Afternoon
Saturday, May 30, 2009 by Clint.
I got a new telephoto lens (Canon 400mm f5.6 USM) a few days ago and today was the first sunny day we have had since I got it. Most of the day was cloudy but by 4pm the sun came out and I made a trip over to Vischer’s Ferry (a local wetland area) to try out the new lens. Well, it proved it’s metal in helping me to capture some nice sharp photos of some of the local residents there.
Great Blue Heron

Cedar Waxwing
Great Egret

Belted Kingfisher
Red-winged Blackbird

Yellow Warbler
And there was a large snapping turtle ambling down the path
