Ducks in the Trees

Naomi and I were lucky to observe some Wood Duck courting behavior yesterday at Oakwood Cemetery. The pair were flying around amongst and landing in the trees. I don’t imagine they were looking to nest in that particular area since it was quite far from water. The male was brilliant in his breeding plumage. I captured a few photos of the pair of Wood Ducks up in a tree as well as one of a male Song Sparrow singing his little heart out.
