After the Snow

We had around 8 inches of snow last night. After I finished cleaning out the driveway I decided to go out and try to get some nice pictures after the fresh snowfall. As it turned out I only had a half hour or so of sunshine, but I was able to get a few nice shots in. These were all taken with my very sharp macro (closeup) lens on my brand new camera body. The new camera has exceptional clarity and resolution as you can see from the photos below.










It was so cold that the snow was very light and dry. I took close up shots that actually show the snowflakes and their gorgeous crystalline structure - all quite different; some even look like flower petals. This is a series of 3 photos - each one getting in closer:
